In meiner interdisziplinären Forschung untersuche ich die Effekte von Typografie (beispielsweise Blocksatz) auf Leserlichkeit und Sprachverarbeitung unter Verwendung von Eyetracking und EEG-Messungen. In Kooperation mit dem Institut für Buchwissenschaften der Universität Mainz entwickele ich eine evidenzbasierte Beurteilung der aktuellen typografischen Praxis, mit besonderem Augenmerk auf der zunehmenden Digitalisierung des Lesens.
